91 Reasons to Hate Episode III Revenge of the Sith Articles Have Begun!

Yeah, I noticed that as well, just didn't choose to include it for some reason. It was pretty stupid how they delivered dropkicks.
Don't go. Stick around. There's more to this site than just Star Wars.
I don't know. I feel like I've closed this chapter (for now, anyway). I was going to do the novel and the video game and I don't even have the steam to do that.
It would be tough for me to critique the OT, particularly since I like it. Sure, it has flaws as does any movie but I just can't get as worked up about them because they're pretty minor overall.
Why? does he OWE it to anyone out of the fairness act or something?
The OT rocked. The PT sucks. I really wish we could go back to where we all agreed on that.
The OT is pretty boss. I recently watched the original versions of ANH and ROTJ (by Jen's request, oddly) and seeing the non-Special Edition versions for the first time in a while really took me back to being 10-years-old again. It was stellar.

Completely agree. ROTJ is regarded as the weak link of the OT. You think that, fine, we've argued over that before. But I dare anyone to watch ROTJ either right before or right after they've watched ROTS and tell me ROTS is a better made movie. And I liked ROTS! But there are many parts where it seems like an amateur made it. ROTJ has one burp joke, a bad Boba Fett death, one Tarzan yell, one awkward line of dialogue (you could tell Luke, is that who you could tell?)and one kinda unrealistic battle with Ewoks. ROTS, to its credit, didn't have a burp joke. However, it had many bad Jedi deaths, which are a shitload more important than Boba Fett's, it had multiple Tarzan yells, numerous awkward lines of dialogue, and one completely irrelevant and hard to follow battle with wookies instead of Ewoks.
Plus, ROTJ is actually structured well, acted well (except Ford), focused on story and not effects (would the Lucas of today actually devote so much time showing the gang becoming "part of the tribe?" Whether you think it was good or bad, it shows a different point of view from Lucas, where he did actually flesh things out instead of just going straight into a battle), and when it did have effects, used them much better than ROTS did. Even if it was disappointing to some people, ROTJ was well-made, whereas many times, despite great effects, ROTS seemed like it was made by an amateur.
And don't even get me started on people who think ROTS is better than ANH.

They don't necessarily have to be reasons to hate the movies, rather just some funny observations. There are some totally unrealistic situations though. The one that probably bothers me the most is how the Millenium Falcon "escapes" the Star Destroyer Avenger in ESB. A TIE fighter pilot or anybody aboard a Star Destroyer with access to a window would have to try really, really hard not to notice the protruding Falcon. In fact, you would almost have to try as hard as Anakin did to not notice that Padme was pregnant in ROTS.
I'm never going to understand the problem with the Tarzan yell. Always loved it, always will.

Yeah, that was always an issue. I dunno. I just can't get as into it.
What if Chewbacca had instead yelled, "Yabba Dabba Doo!" Would that make you upset?
Hurry back.

I smell a 6-film-super-special-edition-box-set alteration.

Just finished reading the last few installments. Excellent job!
What gets me is that the story line isn't tight, and never was. At least with the OT you didn't know where things were going and you actually got a cliffhanger in ESB with a decent payoff in ROTJ.
Like all of the movies, I'm looking forward to the DVD. Then what! A TV show in two years. Should we get our hopes up for that?
Did you see there's a new novel about Vader that takes place after ROTJ. I'll probably end up buying it. Like an addiction, I can't quite give it up.

Really? How do they explain that?
Thanks for the compliments, Nick.

1- Everything in the world can be criticized - if you have time and bad will to do it .
ex: Chocolate is brown , like shit . Chocolate makes you get fat, is expensive,
is too small for the price...
There may be 1000 reasons to hate the OT: ex
A- Luke's training is TOO short
B - Why has the empire send ATST SO distant of the base? to give the rebels time to attack them?
C - Why didn't they destroy the capsule in the beginning of EP IV
D -Why is the Death Star so slow at the end of EP IV ?
E- How can Leia kill Jabba so easily ?
F- HOW DOEN'T LEIA AND SOLO GO FLOATING AND FREEZING WHEN THEY LEAVE THE SHIP INSIDE THE METEOR - AREN'T THEY IN SPACE - NO AIR NO GRAVITY , LOW TEMPERATURE ?
2- if you criticize SW , many peolpe will come to your forum ( That's one reason Chefelf must LOVE the NT for )
3- many "reasons to hate" are just (good) options Lucas made . The alternative option could be criticized any way . EX :
"Palpatine didn't think a little to get the name Vader"
but if he had said many options for Vader's name in that scene you could criticize:
"Haven't Palp had enough years to think about Anakin's name before?"
that is, Lucas could never win
4- Thank goodness it's Lucas, not Chefelf who wrote the NT script .

Well, that would just be ridiculous. In my opinion, a Tarzan yell is something I could see a Wookie doing. I always liked it as a kid growing up watching Star Wars. In fact, I probably heard the Tarzan yell from Chewbacca before I ever heard it from Tarzan!

But Tarzan, like Fred Flintstone, is a made up Earth-based fictional character. Tarzan's yell is his signature the same way that yabba dabba doo is Fred Flintstone's. If Chewie had simply howled as he swung across, that would have been fine. The fact that he steals the signature yell of a character from Earth literature, TV and film is the thing that upsets me.

1 -Chewbacca scream like Tarzan = PROBLEM
Explosions in space = NO PROBLEM
The Robo from Metropolis , or the Tinman of Oz himself walking around
(C3P0) = NO PROBLEM
2 -An american cowboy in space ( Han ) = NO PROBLEM ,
after all , we also have the president of US destroying superpowerfull
Husseinish Aliens in Independence DAy
Anakin cowboy = PROBLEM
3 - Ship falls in direction of the planet in EP III (gravity law) = PROBLEM
Leia an Han don't freeze nor float inside the asteroid = NO PROBLEM
Destroyer "falls" in direction of Death Star ( no gravity )= NO PROBLEM
4 - SW is just a movie = NO PROBLEM
SW makes an reference to other movies ( Tarzan , 7 Samurais ) = PROBLEM
5 - Luke becomes a jedi in some hours = NO PROBLEM
Anakin decides to let his "bad" side flow to achive more power
( like most of people do when have some power in the hands ) = PROBLEM
6 - No stormkeeper is waiting to arrest our heroes outside the trash compactor
(WHY , my God WHY ???) = NO PROBLEM
Dooku decides to make on spectacle ( for everybody ) out of the execution
= PROBLEM
Could anybody explain the logic of this ?
I think the logic is very TARZAN- LIKE : Old trology = GOOOOD !!!
New trilogy = BAAAD !!!
EP III is not only better then the VERY SIMPLE EP IV , but is also the best of them all . EP III is the heart of SW , the center of the saga , the most exciting and well done of them all - My favourite before was ROTJ.

You're either joking, or you're just plain wrong!
