I agree with the Dark Lord Melkor. The reasons are funny but I don't sense them like reasons to HATE a movie.
I certainly do; it (amusingly) points out flaws that could have been avoided by having an actual writer to the script/plot line, and real director actually doing the films. But of course someone's gigantic ego and delusional assessment of his own "talent" ruined that.

You're right. Based on what we've seen in the prequels, the ANH duel does look very bland. But it is closest to what real sword fighting is like: a lot of strategic movement and pushing for advantage. A part of me wishes they had spruced it up for the Special Editions, but I've never really had a problem with it.

I think the problem with chef's list is there more personal opinion on what he dislikes rather than problems with the movies plot in relation to the OT.
I hardly see that as a "problem" because they're extremely cogent points.

Well, some of the points are related to the OT, some of them are reasons that the I've found to be annoying based on that movie itself and the PT.
I don't by the whole "well, that's your opinion" argument though. People say that all the time. Obviously it's my opinion, that's why I wrote it. That's why I prefaced the whole thing with, "These are observations that I have made about this movie."

According to this, it is definitely the "original" Millenium Falcon according to GL.
Thanks for the link, by the way. I KNEW it.

Damage control. Used to be, we went BACK to see the SW movies because they were fun, detail-laden films. Repeat viewing brought out the shoe et al.
I almost threw up reading how busy and intricate and overwhelming the opening battle scenes were. But thanks to that page, we now know that Yoda has his own Star Destroyer. (or HAD anyway.)

I agree the ANH duel looks slow. But given that it's between an *old* man, and a cyborh with power and strength (but no speed), it is *believable*. And enjoyable. Watching Yoda, who walks with a cane, and Dooku, who is slightly more energetic, suddenly become Romanian gymnasts in AOTC is not as believable or enjoyable.

Okay, it's started. Reasons 1-10 are up of my new articles:
91 Reasons to Hate: Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
First article was up June 6, 2005. More articles to follow on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, depending on how fast I can get it all wrapped up. Everything is still a work in progress at this point, I just put them up as early as possible to stop the floods of emails and requests.

So Chefelf, you have covered the Prequel Trilogy, The Original:SE Trilogy and the Holiday Special. The circle is now complete. Or is it...?

How General Grevious' "TIME TO ABANDON SHIP! MUAHAHAHA *cough*" and the voice acting for the Nemoidian who says "TWO JEDI HAVE LANDED IN THE MAIN HANGER BAY" made it through youre Reasons To Hate lists is beyond me

I agree with this. The way that Neimodian guard said "hanger bay" made him sound like an extra from Wayne's World.
