Oh, my new system takes my breath away. And it was a steal at $500! (Note that this is a figurative steal and not a literal one. I am not a crook!)
Up until I got this new one last month, I was running a system from around 1999 which was not very good in this modern era of polygons and the Intarweb. This one has a 2.8GHz pentium 4 processor, GEForce4 video card, and some sort of sound card which the friend who built me this assured me is very good! And the hard drive is sufficient to hold my Chrono Trigger ROM approximately 30,138 times, which is more than enough times than I will need in the immediate future.
Knights of the Old Republic got me out of a funk (the bad kind, not the disco kind) I have been in with video games as of late. With a few exceptions, all the games I've played lately have been either sequels or highly derivatave of other games. It was, as they say, a breath of fresh air to play a game, especially a Star Wars game, which did not suck. I am waiting with bated breath for the sequel to come out this Winter. :3

Every 3 months, EA programmers get better equipment! My friends computer includes a 1GB hard drive, 1GB of ram, and other fast things.
Anyways, this GeForce 2 allows me to play KOTOR. It's on the lowest settings mind you, but the game play is still smooth.
I went to Atic computers to find upgrades for my ram- I thought this would help me play the game with higher definition graphics.
It turns out my RAM is old school shit. IT's called RAMBUS. And nobody has it any more. And if I want it, I have to shell out 120 bucks for 128 MB sticks. I've been advized by the Atic dorks that I should buy a new motherboard.
Computers are like cars. They suck.

I chose a white female with short dark hair as my JEDI.
I named her VERONICA
She was a soldier
She is now a sentinel
I've killed two potential allies, I've collected thousands of dollars in bounties, and finally, I cracked a murder case on the first go.
Needless to say I'm sitting in the red area. She looks mean~
Her only threats thus far have been Bendark Starkiller and another mandolarian named sherrk(sp?)
Other than that she never loses in battle.
Her light sabre is yellow. Twilek help's her pick locks, while the wookie disables mines.
I'm going to go play some more.

at stat selection
Put cha at minimum.
Wis at 10
int at minimum
max out con
str of 15 at least
put all remaining points into dex and if any are left over afterwards add these to str
put all of the points you get from leveling into dex.
Make sure you play a soldier because by game end they have the most feats.
wobble on through the game and do whatever you like but I'd recommend staying neutral so you can use both lightside powers (heal is the only one of these you need, and maybe speed or shield or something its up to you) and darkside powers (force lightening is not NEARLY as good as force push and its followers so get force push first. force lightening is restricted by armor but force push isnt and when you get to a higher level you get force wave which, with a party of three jedi, you can get out of ANY battle with no damage.
Now for feats:
Max out dual wielding and flurry. also make sure you have the ability to wear armor for all your jedi, you'll also probably want toughness and melee weapon proficiency maxed out. When you become a jedi DEFINATELY max out lightsaber proficiency. This stacks with melee weapon proficiency to give you a whopping +4 and dual wielding two 6-16 damage lightsabers (this is BEFORE you add crystals) that means your min damage per turn is something like 20. If you can get implant feats I recommend that even above toughness but it's not necessary.
As for skills go with healing or whatever its called and after that persuasion. You can use party switch and get the worthless droid whenever there's a door that aint bashing so security is fully useless. not using hk47 (despite his entertainment value) allows you to not put points into repair)
When its jedi academy time go for a jedi guardian or the mixture class. You really won't need that many force powers.
Now go around the universe and collect lightsabers and crystals. The best are in the dragon cave on tatooine and in the tentarek cave on Korriban. NEVER EVER EVER USE ONE LIGHTSABER OR A DUAL BLADED. THIS IS DUMB. If you do this you are sacrificing the chance to do 60 damage a turn (without flurry) for a small defense bonus or a cool lightsaber. Trick out your sabers and use different combinations of crystals until normal damage capabilities are at maximum. Great!
Now wobble around until you go to Korriban and after a while late in the game on Korriban you get to go to a special store. I hope you saved up lots of credits because you need the dominator gauntlets. These give plus five to str and so now all your physical stats should be 20 or over. You should definately avoid buying armor and weapons and upgrades for anyone but Jolee and cat chick. Don't bother with Bastila, just trust me on this one. Now what you have are three people dual wielding six lightsabers with no penalties if you're using short lightsabers in their offhands. They should be able to wear armor and deflect blaster fire with their sabers.
Now once you've gotten force wave the game becomes incredibly simple. Just charge into the center of the enemies and have everyone use force wave until there aren't any more enemies. They won't even get a hit on you. Oh and get a ton of computer spikes before you go to the unknown planet, you'll need them to get some very nice items after you leave the unknown planet.
What tricks do the rest of you guys use?

I marched into the cave-o-battledroids and stood at the enterance... walked away in the middle of combat, made a sandwich, came back and all the droids were on like one hit... from shooting themselves by proxy.

I think I've been over force powers before.
Companions. If you want Jedi, thats cool, but Carth and Canderous decked out to duel weild swords are quite powerful. As with Zalbaar, but I hate wookies, so he never leaves the ship unless he has to. HK-47 is unfortunatly limited to blasters, but its good to drag him along for humour value alone.
If playing light side, I would focus my skill points on persuade and use force healing. If dark, I do the opposite.
Important feat trees->Dual weilding, implants, flurry.

If you perform the ritual before confronting Freyyer, you can't obtain the sword from the beats hide. Instead you are forced to kill Freyyer. I did this initially. I kill just about everyone that I come across, even tried to kill the stow away, or at least thought about it.
But when I attacked Freyyer, his final words were moving. After killing him, I decided to re-load the game from the force field gate way and start over that
act.
I talked to Freyyer first, then went to kill the beast and the sword magically appeared in the monster. I saved Freyyer's life.
I don't hate wookies, but I feel bad killing them. I'm going to rack up major light side points here, but plan to wipe them out with all the bad I reap over in tatooine.

i was a few knotches from complete darkness when i got to Kashyyyk...
but once there... I just couldn't do anything nasty to wookies...
(i don't know why).
by the time i left, I was right up near the top of the force scale!
i had to do so much evil... but made my way back to the bottom.

The wookies self-defeatism and the fact that they all speak with the same file footage of camal noises pisses me off to no end. I love nothing more then getting the blade and starting the rebellion, only to turn around and side with the brother and get Salad Bar to kill his own dad. That'd learn him for being whiney and annoying.

But getting the two feuding families to kill each other on Dantoonie is quite fun.
"KILL THEM ALL! KILL THEM ALL!"
I just lost it when I saw that line of dialog.
