About the genetic memory, I didn't say that it explains how the old Trilby is able to remember sending the idol into space. But all the Trilby clones give hints that they have the original's memories, and they accept that as a natural fact. That's why I mentioned the genetic memory, because at least it's a real-word theory, however absurd it may seem (AND it has been used many times in fiction, so it doesn't even have to be mentioned). And there's nothing in the game suggesting anything about the Frehorn blade being used on Trilby. I prefer to stick to what is told or hinted at in the story itself, that's all.
Now, that doesn't explain why the old Trilby had the memory of sending the idol into space, but I still prefer to think he's just a clone anyway. It is very obvious (to me, at least) that the "cowering Trilby" is the last clone, because he was the one who set off the bomb. Then the bridge was created between the two realms, and Theo was sucked to the Magickal Realm... and the clone, being there when it happened, was sucked by the bridge as well. After all, it's very unlikely that the "cowering Trilby" is the real one, stuck inside Chzo for 200 years and still looking young, and only then starting to age... And what's more, if he was the original, why wasn't he stuck to the wall? Why would Chzo keep Trilby there, unchained and young, for 200 years and then suddenly decide to chain him to a "wall" and let him age away for the next two centuries? For me, that doesn't make sense.
I think it's much more realistic to assume that Yahtzee just made a small mistake or left this part intentionally obscure. After all, he made all the clones have Trilby's memories, so the way I see it, he just got a little carried away and forgot it was impossible for them to have the memories that happened AFTER the blood sample was taken. Or he even thought of that, but decided to ignore it anyway, just to leave another burning question behind (which, as I already said, just makes the story more satisfying). But I am positive that the old Trilby was the last clone. Of course, that's only my view of the story, and the beauty of this game is that it allows for different interpretations.
EDIT - Hey, I just re-read the posting about the Frehorn Blade, and only now I noticed SimeSublime never said that the blade was used on Trilby, just that the text about the blade was about the soul, mind and body going different ways. But I still stick to the genetic memory, I don't know, I like that theory as material for fiction, I even started writing a short story where it plays a major role...
