Since I read somewhere that probably close to a majority of Texans would rather not be a part of the USA (as if worldview pollsters give additional credence to Texans...) I thought it would be nice to have a thread that extols the virtues of this country.
I fly old glory in my car. Have never served in the military, but I am a patriot. It sure is popular to dump on the states these days, but I'm proud to be an American (granted, I liked the place better 30 years ago).

And there's the trees. Lots of trees. Plus decent ice dancers.

Yes, definitely. Why, enough of this and I may not still feel guilty about how obviously American I am when I travel to other countries!

Aw, dont feel guilty. I don't. Although, you do get treated kinda crappy in some countries when thy know your an American.
This one time when I was in Cyprus, the waiters at this restaurant were real dicks to me and my American chums.
The food was great though so I didn’t mind. It was actually kinda funny to see them be so obviously pissy.

It vomits on you and scares you so bad with its terrible driving that you kiss the ground when you finally get out of the car.
The only time I get mistaken for a tourist is when I'm in Treasureville. People ask me what country I'm from. I suspect that its just a polite way to ask if I'm actually from this planet.
